Managing video calls

Avaya one-X Agent makes video communication as simple as a telephone call. Using the video feature, you can conduct a face-to-face video communication with a customer or an agent in the My Computer mode. You do not actively initiate or receive a video call. If your company's media server supports video, and your extension is registered with the media server, Avaya one-X Agent opens the video window (or provides the video control buttons) in the Work List window automatically.

Video call is not supported in the Other Phone mode.

Example

A prospective buyer, seeking information or a demo for a new mobile phone, clicks the corresponding subject from an in-store kiosk. Upon choosing a selection, the system sends a video call to the available agent with the appropriate skill sets by creating a two-way video call between the buyer and an agent. Further, the agent can share video demo of the phone or invite the buyer to complete the form by sharing the desktop application.
